The Maenads are the Elite Sorcerers of The Dionysian Mysteries. A group of sorcerers who revel in the ibtoxicating nature of the magic of Madness, who combine their practice with the consumption of mind altering substances to fuel their power.
This could lead to the assumption that Maenads are nothing to be afraid of, but the frenzied mind of Maenad leads to unhinged and savage brutality on the battlefeild. Frenzied and unpredictable, Maenads can tear through enemies in a matter of moments, evading all strikes and moving as if posessed by an unseen force. In fact, the Maenads believe that the substances they consume invite posession by Dionysus himself, which leads them to be reckless and utterly unhinged. Maenads are known for ripping those who stand in their way to pieces with their bare hands.
