Chimerae are aberrant monstrosities created by vivisecting different creatures together, keeping them alive in the process with the specialized life magic used by the Revelers of Rot . In the creation process, the component creatures are stripped of their free will, and become unquestioningly obediant to their creator.
Durring the second conflict between the Secrets and the Revelers of Rot, the revelers utelized Chimera soldiers created by splicing together sorcerers with various Elementals and Others. This project was headed by a man named James Clovis , until he suddenly defected to the side of the secrets, bringing his Chimerae with him.
